Carlo Muscat is recognized as one of the most promising voices on the European jazz scene, establishing himself as a saxophonist, composer, and bandleader, culminating in the release of eight albums under his name. His sixth album, Hymns, received critical acclaim, earning a four-star rating from Downbeat Magazine and a place on their Best Albums of 2023 list.
Born and raised in Malta, Muscat has been based in Kyiv since January 2022, where he has remained an active and steadfast figure in the city’s music community throughout the ongoing conflict.
On Friday May 15th, he will joined by Luis Deniz (alto saxophone), Diogo Peixoto (guitar), Marika Galea (bass), and Eric Platz (drums), to present the music from his most recent release. Check out some videos and more at the links below!
