ADVANCE: STUDENT $12/ GENERAL ADMISSION $15 – DAY OF SHOW $20
Afro-Cuban jazz piano meets classical meets world music. Havana-based pianist Aldo López-Gavilán almost defies categorization. His piano solos mesmerized audiences at a sold-out Isabel show in October 2014 when he accompanied Carlos Varela. Now he’s back for a solo show that will illustrate why piano great Chucho Valdés calls him “simply a genius, a star.”
A portion of the proceeds from this concert will go to the Sonia Enjamio Fund at Queen’s to support Cuban and Canadian student exchange programs.
