Mar 2: Joel Harrison Group continues Live @ Your Library

Live @ Your Library continues on Sunday March 2 at 2pm in The Wilson Room (130 Johnson) of the K&F Public Library with New York City’s Joel Harrison Group!

Tickets available on-line, from Brian’s Record Option, or at the door.

Joel Harrison’s musical journey has few parallels in modern music. Guitarist, composer, arranger, vocalist, songwriter, bandleader – Harrison deftly juggles all of these roles, melding influences from jazz, classical, country, rock, and world music.

He is best known for his composing and arranging skills and has twice been selected as the winner of the Jazz Composer’s Alliance Julius Hemphill Composition Competition, and has been the recipient of grants from Chamber Music America, Meet the Composer, the Cary Trust, NYSCA, and others. His allies in his various projects have included Dave Liebman, Mark Feldman, Marty Ehrlich, David Binney, Dan Weiss, Dewey Redman, Norah Jones, Uri Caine, Todd Reynolds, Wendy Sutter, Christian Howes, and Caleb Burhans.

For the March 2nd concert, Joel will share the stage with fellow NYC luminaries:

  • Joel Harrison – guitar
  • Drew Gress – bass
  • Chris Cheek – sax
  • Jacob Sacks – piano
  • Jordan Perlson – drums
