Reminder: John Geggie Group concludes Live @ Your Library this Sunday

(Concerts held Sundays at 2pm in The Wilson Room of the Kingston Public Library, 130 Johnson.)

Our 2014 Live @ Your Library concert series concludes in style on Sunday April 13 with the John Geggie Group! This final concert is a chance to celebrate one of the favourites of our long-running series, Ottawa bassist John Geggie, who will be joined on stage by a who’s who of the Canadian jazz scene.

Tickets are available available at Brian’s Record Option, on-line, or at the door. Tickets are $20. $5 student tickets available at the door, space permitting.

2014_KJS_apr16Renowned bassist John Geggie is active in the Ottawa-Gatineau region as a freelance double bass player and teacher. In addition to his work in the award-winning jazz quartet Chelsea Bridge and the Juno-nominated world beat group The Angstones, he is much in-demand for recordings and concerts/broadcasts on both the CBC and Radio-Canada. For many years, he has also worked with numerous artists including Ian Tamblyn, Lynn Miles, Three Sheets To The Wind and Meg Lunney, Justin Haynes and Roddy Elias.

For the final concert of our series, John is joined on stage by a who’s who of Canadian jazz:
