Dec 4: The KJS Presents The Kandinsky Effect 8pm, The Common Market

The KJS once again has the opportunity to present The Kandinsky Effect on Tuesday, December 4th at 8pm at The Common Market. (136 Ontario St.)

The show is $10, $5 with valid student ID.

The Kandinsky Effect made their Kingston debut in 2010 and were again able to perform in town last October to an enthusiastic crowd.  This tour is in anticipation the band’s second album due out early in the new year. The innovative Paris-based trio consists of:

  • Warren Walker – Saxophone/Electronics
  • Gael Petrina – Double Bass
  • Gauthier Garrigue – Drums

The Kandinsky Effect is an album that can be appreciated on many levels—a cursory listen is perfect as conversation-starting background music at a Parisian soirée, while a closer listen rewards listeners with moments. Walker, Petrina and Garrigue will continue to be heard from as they develop their individual and collective sounds.

All About Jazz

The trio will be performing in Kingston on Tuesday, December 4th as a part of their third North American tour.
