April 10: Live @ Your Library – Arlene Smith and Mark Eisenman
The Kingston Jazz Society is pleased to announce the return of its long-standing “Live @ Your Library” concert series. This series of four intimate Sunday afternoon concerts offers Kingston jazz fans a chance to experience some of the best in Canadian music and meet the artists in the intimate and beautiful confines of The Wilson Room of the Central branch of the Kingston and Frontenac Public Library, 130 Johnson Street.
Tickets are available at Brian’s Record Option, through the Grand Theatre box office (613-530-2050) or at the door on the day of the performance. Tickets are $20, $15 with student ID.

The series wraps up on Sunday April 10, with a duet performance by a pair of Canadian jazz icons. Vocalist Arlene Smith and Pianist Mark Eisenman will swing their way through a captivating and very personal repertoire of jazz favourites.

An Evening of Jazz – Live at Olivea
Congratulations to Michelle Kaz and her trio who begin their biweekly engagement at Olivea on Wednesday March 23rd.
Michelle will be performing jazz favourites from 6-9pm. The restaurant was packed for Mardi Gras, so be sure to call ahead.
Michelle’s trio features:

- Drums – Sean Donaldson
Bone Ultimatum – Sat., March 12, 7 PM, The Mansion
Local trombonist Taylor Donaldson returns to town with an ambitious bone regeneration project. Featuring a skull rattling seven trombonists as well as a three piece rhythm section Bone Ultimatum plays a repetoire of creatively arranged standards that will get tibia tapping and your pelvis pulsating.
The evening also features opening bands The Torres Project and The Nate Crockett Band all for the incerdible low price of only $7

Weekly Jazz in March: The Downtown Quartet Rubbaboo
On Sundays 5:00-8:00pm, you can catch The Downtown Quartet at The Mansion on the main floor with no cover.
The Downtown Quartet performs a mix of instrumental jazz standards and original compositions. The band is:
