Reminder: Blazz Fridays at the RCHA Club

If you’re downtown on Friday between 5:00 and 8:00, be sure to check out the Blazz Quartet at the RCHA club.  The group, featuring Cam Schaefer on Piano, Kevin Cooke on bass, Jack on percussion, and Glenn Tooth on flute, plays a lovely mix of instrumental “bluesy jazz”.

Thursday and Friday: Michael K. Myers and jazz friends

This Thursday and Friday at The Confederation Place Hotel (Ontario St.) in WJ’s Bistro 6-9pm it’s Michael K. Myers and jazz friends.

Thursday the 26th, Michael is joined by James Wannamaker, and Tim Hallman.
Friday Michael has Chris Alfano, and Bob Arlidge on board.

The musicians will be performing music inspired by great jazz vocalists such as Sinatra, Bennett,  Cole, Krall, Buble, and others.

From Montreal, Marianne Trudel returns to Kingston for the first time since her successful appearance at the 2008 Kingston Jazz Festival to perform a mix of originals and standards with three of Kingston’s best musicians.

Marianne Trudel – piano
Jonathan Stewart – saxophone
Mike Perlin – bass
Mike Cassells – drums

Know it’s last minute folks, but come check it out, the music’s gonna be great.  Also if you haven’t been into the Basement @ the Mansion it’s a great space.  The show is from 8:00 to 11:00.
